Does Anyone know of any African Community fish?

Question: I am going to start a densely planted, African Community aquarium and I was wondering if anyone knew of some good fish to put in there. It is 160 liters (35gal.). Sorry, I like to keep away from cichlids.

Answer: african community? do you mean african cichlid community? or do you want non cichlid africans, like the butterfly fish and peters elephant nose? Either or, most victoria cichlids will be fine together, peacocks and mbumas. They will be crowed in a 35 gallon, but you can stock some smaller mbumas no problem. for community: african butterfly fish will be fine, along with a pair of kribensis which are west african cichlids(no need for high ph for them), peters elephant noses tend to be too large. African arowanas are rare, but from african, it will grow too large for a 35 gallon, but if you want african and willing to upgrade they will be a nice addition. Alittle hard to keep as they are filter feeders, but lovely rare fish.
