I like Turquoise... Do you know any interesting story or legend about it?

Question: I would like and I will be happy if someone of Native Americans tell me something about this stone...I am strongly attached to it since I was a little girl...

Answer: Turquoise is the birthstone for Sagittarius, which is a wonderful birth sign of dedication, adventure, sensitivity and travel. (I just know this because the kid is a Sag.) It's also a gemstone highly prized by Native Americans in particular, for it's representation of water and sky, or air... two of the four elements of the world. And it's pretty! especially on darker skin and with silver and coral. I used to work with it a lot on lapidary equipment, bringing a rough stone into a smooth one ready for jewelry-making. I also designed a few pieces. My spouse at the time made the jewelry. That spouse is deceased, but we have a kid who is adult now, and who identifies strongly with her "N.A. side" these days. I keep in touch with my favorite sister-in-law (they do and we used to live in Oklahoma), and love is always exchanged in words and in stories of just about everything! My kid has all the jewelry I still owned or my spouse made that I still had... it is worn with pride and beauty. Can't say too much else about turquoise; the Native Americans are a close lot and I wouldn't want to step on toes.
