Question: i let my sister look after my giant african snails for the week i got back a some of the edge of the shell was yellow i sprayed them it with water (there regular bath) then out of intrest touched the yellow bit it dissipeard and became transparent and flaky so i picked it off and they came out please answer if what i did was right or wrong i despratly need an answer and explination why im worried sick
Answer: Do you mean the yellow was over the opening to their shell?? Or was it actually ON their shell?? If it was over the opening, they may have got a bit too cold. If its on their shell it sounds like they may not have been getting all the nutrients they need from there food. Try giving them some cuttlefish bone to increase their calcium intake.
