Question: I tried a new cleaner and polish and took the shine off my laminate counter top. Is there anything I can do to put the shine back on.
Answer: With all due respect to you and others, I'm going with KAY in her suggestions. First of all if it is MICA, It's hard to imagine just a CLEANER destroying any finish. Again; with no offense I might have looked at the Purpose of the cleaner. The color/pattern/finish on Mica is likely as thin as the Mil of a trash bag. beneath it is the usual brown formulation of the Mica. Now,,,and again, again, with all due respect DO NOT use substances like clear coats or polishes on a surface that comes in contact with food products. Without knowing at all, the age of your (Mica)/ laminate certainly WilsonArt is one manufacturer. Also contact the manufacturer of the Cleaning product. I've been on this planet a long time; and the only thing I've ever noted that damages Mica finishes would be acids/burning/or cuts and Dings. Steven Wolf
