Question: I recently got a rock of amethyst because a monk told me i should have some amethyst in my living room to absorb all the negative energy or bad things. Therefore, i got one from some other ppl and putted in the corner of my living room. It was probably sitting there for like several months.....and i looked at it today.......the purple from the Amethyst is completely gone.. well at least one of them..the other one is still very purple!!...can anyone explain what happeneD?? or.. did it really absorb all the energy.. Also, It's near a window.. but i don't always open my curtains.. so not a lot of sun light.........
Answer: Amethyst can certainly lose its color if left in direct sunlight. It doesn't have to be for long periods of time, so even if you had your curtains open for a couple hours over a period of several months, that was probably enough to take the color out. Move the still-purple amethyst to a less sunny area, and you should be fine. :o)
